Live Brief: Dulux

During a speech, Marianne Shillingford, Creative Director of Dulux, highlighted the importance of colour and introduced Sweet Embrace as the 2024 'colour of the year.' She encouraged us to use Sweet Embrace and Dulux's colour palettes to promote well-being and sustainability. In response, I researched how colour and nature can alleviate stress and created a peaceful virtual environment using AI and SketchUp.

Reasons to Why VR is Suitable for Dulux

Using Sketchup for the first time, I was able to successfully build and create my visualisation that can be opened in a digital virtual reality space. This VR space can be accessed either through a laptop or a VR headset, allowing the viewer to navigate around the building. Notably, the building's colouration shifts in sync with the movement of the sun, just as with the Pink Sweet Embrace colour. This change is observable in the images below.
