Live Brief: Dulux

During a speech, Marianne Shillingford, the Creative Director of Dulux, emphasized the significance of colour and discussed how Dulux selects its 'colour of the year', which was Sweet Embrace for 2024. Shillingford challenged us to use Sweet Embrace and one of Dulux's colour palettes to create a response highlighting the user's well-being and sustainability. After researching how colour and nature can transform stressful aspects of our lives, I experimented with AI & SketchUp to replicate a peaceful virtual environment.

Reasons to Why VR is Suitable for Dulux

Using Sketchup for the first time, I was able to successfully build and create my visualisation that can be opened in a digital virtual reality space. This VR space can be accessed either through a laptop or a VR headset, allowing the viewer to navigate around the building. Notably, the building's colouration shifts in sync with the movement of the sun, just as with the Pink Sweet Embrace colour. This change is observable in the images below.
